US Targeting is the Baby-Killer in Yemen

The RINJ Foundation has issued a Cause of Action statement against the United States for the deaths of children the USA and Saudi Arabia together killed using USA bombs and USA targeting on 9 August 2018. The full statement makes somewhat complex arguments. Read it here.

All sides Commit Atrocities but Most Civilian Deaths are Caused by the Targeting of Air Strikes says UN Investigators

UN sources part of a September investigative team have told Feminine Perspective that all sides have commit serious war crimes in the Yemen conflict. The preliminary report of the group said that coalition air strikes caused “most of the documented civilian casualties” and illuminated “serious concerns about the targeting process”.

“This is no longer a race between political and military solutions, it is instead a race to salvage what is left of State institutions as quickly as possible,” emphasized Martin Griffiths, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, late in September via video conference from Amman, Jordan.  Noting that the conflict has been escalating on all fronts — and that one side failed to join the negotiations he convened recently in Geneva — he said Yemen’s formal peace process has nevertheless resumed, with solid support from the country’s people and the international community.

The Ansar Allah (Houthi group) has Failed to Govern Yemen

Houthi militias kidnapped 20 journalists and media workers during their participation in an anti-hate speech and incitement to violence in the Yemeni media event,” the spokesperson of Yemen’s National Commission of Inquiry, affiliated to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Ishraq Al-Maqtary, told the Anadolu Agency. That statement has not been verified. Other sources say that numerous groups of people were detained under suspicion but released by days end.

Yesterday a US Navy vessel intercepted a shipment of arms which appear to be Iran-supplied. This would be added to a long list of Iranian supplied weapons including missiles, artillery rockets and guns.

The UN issued a statement saying, “UN experts with responsibilities in that area have carried out an inspection of weapons seized and will report to their respective Security Council Sanctions Committees in due course.”

With Iran supplying weapons to the Yemenis to fight an invading Saudi-and-friends Coalition and the United States providing weapons to the Saudi Arabia side, the world is seeing this as a *surrogate or proxy war.  See Daoud, David (March 2015). “Meet the Proxies: How Iran Spreads Its Empire through Terrorist Militias”.

The UN Security Council placed sanctions and a Naval blockade on Yemen causing massive starvation and disease from lack of affordable food and medicine since March 2015. Prior to that the Ansar Allah group (Houthis)  claimed the “puppet government of Saudi Arabia in Yemen” was corrupt and after a series of nearly mesmerizing alliance switches it  got the ouster in a Houthi-led grassroots rebellion. It has been in control of most of the country since spring 2015.

9 August 2018, American bomb slams into a Yemeni school bus in Dahyan Market killing dozens of young children based on USA targeting data.

Plaintiffs in a class legal action against the USA contend that Defendant, United States of America, was entered into a contract with other defendants to act as a whole to kill civilians by military means for the purpose of terrorizing the Yemeni people into submission to governance by the defendants. Trial jurisdiction of this cause of action may be set by the plaintiff. The plaintiff is a class of Yemeni people. The plaintiff claims damages in the amount of $1,227,430.00 for each child killed on 9 August at the Dahyan Market and no less than $50,000 up to $950,000 to any person in Sa'dah Governorate of Yemen who joins the class and claims remedy. Except for their families which struggle in horrible grief, the world has forgotten these children. There has been no remedy offered to these grieving civilians. What’s worse, the slaughter of civilians in Yemen has continued unabated ever since 9 August.

Rows of carefully crafted homemade coffins and orderly lines of graves dug by children in the sandy dirt of the Sa’dah Governorate of Yemen make for haunting images. Childhood friends who will never see their mates again, prepare for the funeral on 13 August while the parents double over in weeping agony.

This should be a beacon to the suffering of millions in Yemen. Why isn’t this something the world cares about?

The Yemeni civilians being slaughtered,  claims the USA, are aligned with Iran and thereby “deserve to die”, according to US doctrine. The beliefs and concomitant tactics  of this so-called Coalition (of Donald Trump, Mohammad bin Salman, Omar al-Bashir, and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan) which daily looks more like a racist, genocidal conspiracy, has killed tens of thousands of Yemen’s civilians. Even Saudi Arabia has made some efforts to fund humanitarian assistance to the struggling citizens.

This collection of the worst monsters in history (because they have the impunity that unlimited money can buy):

  • has displaced two million persons, mostly women and children;
  • has jeopardised the lives of 1.3 million who now are infected with cholera; and
  •  threaten another 8 million Yemenis which living group is being whittled down in numbers by malnutrition and outright starvation if not by bombs.
