As Ramadan approaches, plan your safe room. Global war could emerge from any of 60 conflicts.

UN Security Council betrayed its mandate demonstrating it exists for hegemony. Despite a clear signal from the world, the UNSC refuses a Gaza ceasefire. Anywhere up to 1.3 million people in Gaza will be at or near perishing from trauma, famine and disease in the next four weeks say experts.

The UNSC is risking a total Ramadan explosion of violence in many parts of the world for the UN organization’s reluctance to stop killing Arab women and children in Palestine as Canada is suggesting with action. An immediate humanitarian ceasefire is being demanded by the entire world according to votes in the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council which America has vetoed three times since last 7 October.

As Ramadan approaches, the situation in certain regions remains tense, and there are concerns about potential escalations. FPM.news looks at some key points.

Rafah Crisis

Israel has set a deadline for Hamas to free all hostages in the southern Gazan town of Rafah by early March. Humanitarian workers in Gaza suggest that many if not most of these hostages are likely deceased as a result of Israel’s carpet bombing since 7 October last year. This estimate is supported by the rare conversations with Hamas officials.

If this condition of Hamas freeing a certain number of hostages, deemed to be “all hostages” is not met, Israel threatens to launch a controversial ground operation in Rafah.

The situation in Rafah is highly volatile, and any escalation during Ramadan could have serious consequences.

Tensions in the West Bank

The occupied West Bank is described as a “powder keg waiting to explode” by Jordan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi.

Escalating tensions and violence in this region pose a very significant risk.

Negotiations and Challenges

Negotiations between Israel and Hamas involve sensitive talks with US, Egyptian, and Israeli spy chiefs, as well as Qatar. That is not going well at this time. Hamas says it will continue to negotiate. Israel has said it will not attend negotiations.

The main stumbling blocks include Hamas’s high price for releasing hostages, which complicates the negotiations. Hamas is seeking the release of thousands of civilian prisoners captured by Israel, including children.

While efforts continue, the gaps remain wide, and progress has been slow.

Ramadan’s Impact

Ramadan is a time of communal fasting and prayer, which can intensify existing tensions and emotions.

Arab leaders are apprehensive about the situation during this holy month.

The eyes of the world are on the ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, with Qatar playing a mediating role.

In summary, risk of global war is not directly tied to Ramadan itself, but the ongoing conflicts and delicate negotiations during this period raise concerns. The international community closely monitors developments in the region, hoping for peaceful resolutions and stability.

With some 60 wars and regional conflicts raging at this time, tensions are extremely high all around the world. Any provocation or adverse event could have unexpected and violent outcomes, even causing chain reactions.

The bombing continues in Gaza

Gaza [Genocide] a Disgrace for Civilization says China with sadness.

“It is a tragedy for humankind and a disgrace for civilization that today, in the 21st century, this humanitarian disaster cannot be stopped,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told a news conference in Beijing today.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that “the international community must act urgently and make reaching an immediate ceasefire and cessation of hostilities a top priority thus ensuring humanitarian relief is an urgent moral responsibility. China has voted three times and urged since 7 October 2023, for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Mr. Wang also repeated the profound announcement that China supports Palestine becoming an official member of the United Nations.

“The disaster in Gaza once again reminds the world of the fact that it is no longer possible to ignore that the Palestinian territories have been occupied for a long time,” said China’s Foreign Minister.

Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared that South Africa is a terrorist organization, “the legal arm of Hamas”.

“South Africa’s legally and factually unfounded submission [to the International Court of Justice] proves once again that it is the legal arm of the Hamas terrorist organization,” said an Israeli Foreign Affairs statement.

Meanwhile South African commentators have noted that the country having experienced the horrors of apartheid at the hands of the brutal British and their White racist descendants is in a position to empathize with the oppressed peoples of Palestine.

American air-dropped Food Aid is “expired junk” say people on the ground in Gaza.

Unverified footage seen on social media shows a man revealing expired apple sauce and tabasco from expired US army rations reportedly found in the aid bundle dropped into Gaza. The food is not halal.
