“It is the women of Yemen who pay the highest price of the war, the voice of women is crucial to build peace”, says Somaya, a member of the women technical advisory group which met early November in Amman under the auspices of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820 which set out the importance of inclusion of women in peace talks under the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Yemen.
At the start of this month, US Defence secretary, James Mattis was in harmony with the American Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, US National Security Advisor John Bolton, and the UK Government’s Jeremy Hunt in pushing weakly for a ceasefire in Yemen. They were willing to allow another month of Yemeni slaughtering.

Britain’s Lead Trying to get its lost Humanity Back
The Coalition is losing the war miserably but the recent frenzy of slaughter taking place in Yemen such as shelling by American ships, Saudi artillery and multinational bombers/UAVs has decreased slightly as the world begins to take notice. The killing of Yemeni civilians has not stopped.
Houthis are winning because the people the Coalition are attacking have far more heart and spirit because it is their country being invaded. The attackers, including the Americans and the British are partners for some of the worst war crimes in recent memory, far worse than the Islamic State ever commit. The world has yet ti see the horror unfolding.
This isn’t like the illegal invasion of Iraq. Yemen is poor as dirt with only a small militia. Millions of civilians are near death in Yemen according to the UN Special Envoy.
More than a million Yemeni, especially children, suffer from Cholera because of the extensive damage to infrastructure says the World Health Organization (WHO).
There is no clean drinking water, says UNICEF.

This must be remedied now not later says every public health expert who has looked.
Seventy-five percent of the population require subsistence aid from the UN and Civil Society and the situation is worsening horribly. The RINJ Foundation has estimated from accumulated data that 100,000 have died from starvation and Cholera, all deaths being caused by the despicable war.
“Mattis should have grown a pair, stood up to Trump, and put an end to this long ago. If Donald Trump and his sick friend Pat Robertson say one more time that this is justified by $100 billion in arms sales they should be tarred and feathered and walked through Yemen streets to see the gruesome mess $100 billion in arms does to innocent people’s homes,” writes an angry nurse in the remaining half of a hospital functioning in Al Hudaydah.
There is no coming back from the human toll Mattis has allowed as US Secretary of Defence. This is one disgraced Marine who legitimizes even the sexually violent prtidoner-abuse criminals at Abu Ghraib prison by looking the other way from those whom he has armed to do worse.

Feminine-Perspective (comment): People like Mr. James Mattis, a member of Trump’s political administration staff, are good killers. But they like the outrageous supercilious runt named NSA John Bolton are not given the color of right by their racism when they are bombing school children. Marine General James Mattis has completely soiled his career and reputation by having anything to do with this. His type of conduct has been conducted from his disreputable office with impunity for far too long. He isn’t looking for a humanitarian cease fire, he is trying to slink away using every filthy dirty trick in Donald Trump’s con-artist repertoire. From now on he is Mr. Mattis but in due course he should be inmate-Mattis.
What these miscreants ignore at their peril is that their only support is derived from a political party that has culled America’s white supremist rurals and cast away the college-educated urbanites. The people who recognise the scurrilous conduct and concomitant impunity will not always be complacent.
War reparations must not stop until Yemen becomes self-sufficient.

Saudi Arabia’s Mohammad bin Salman whose war it is, doesn’t agree with a ceasefire. He pretty much needs to win this thing or his power-base is gone and he will face untold shame, even exile. The Saudi population know the Yemenis as ordinary paupers who have no money and no food, one of the poorest countries in the world. They won’t be pleased that bin Salman dragged them into a war with starving sick Yemenis and lost.
There are six groups in Yemen pushing for control including Sunni Jihadists (including ISIS and al Quaeda plus American mercenaries) seen to be backed by America and Britain with Saudi Arabia. There is also the previous authoritarian government of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi who was a puppet of Saudi and the USA. But the strongest group controlling key territory are Houthis rebels who ousted the authoritarian regime of Ali Abdullah Saleh (supported by the US and Saudi Arabia) who fled and gave the keys to the front door to his VP Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi who then tried to make deals with all and sundry finally fleeing to puppet-master America. He has since reportedly returned to Saudi.
The three sides all face one very important fact. They are losing the war in Yemen badly and now want to quit.
This Coalition of the oil barons and arms dealers led by fundamentalist Shiite-haters has been losing since March 2015 when they decided they did not like the new government in Yemen. They are losing despite their war of civilian-attrition which has killed nearly 100,000 civilians by The RINJ Foundation medical estimates. (Morgues, mortuaries, village politician and cleric estimates of burials. In all these are mostly deaths by famine and cholera caused by the US Naval blockade and the Saudi attacks on markets and food supply infrastructure.)
About 7,000 or more are violent civilian deaths, mostly women and children in residential areas, resulting from bombing, shelling and missile attacks from UAE, Saudi, Sudanese and American, (ship-based) aircraft and UAVs.
The humanitarian disaster in Yemen is man-made, done by scurrilous cowards who are filled with hatred and greed. May the shame be felt and last forever on the perpetrators of this horrific crime. That people like this are allowed to govern is a shame on each and every one of us who walks the Earth.
Look at Yemen and you will see that humanity is lost.
