Need More Nurse Volunteers in Bangladesh Rohingya Camps

The RINJ Foundation Women have issued a call to action on behalf of over 100,000 women and their families in Bangladesh. We want you to help us deliver happy, healthy babies and fight for their safety and good outcome. These are mostly displaced families from Myanmar. They are very nice patients. You will learn to love these people.

Bangladesh is truly a beautiful country. It has its challenges and is a welcome place for humanitarians. Your experience here will put a brightness to your heart that you did not expect.

Its Padma (Ganges), Meghna and Jamuna rivers create fertile plains, and travel by boat is common. On the southern coast, the Sundarbans, an enormous mangrove forest shared with Eastern India, is home to the royal Bengal tiger. ~ Photo by Ellie Jan 23, 2018

Nurses, midwives, EMS workers, early childhood care workers, logistics workers, security staff are all needed in Bangladesh. Some training will be provided especially in the area of infectious disease safety. Infectious disease nursing capability would be a great asset. If you could give us some time to help with training it would be most appreciated. Our focus will be healthy mom’s and babies but we will be prepared to handle extraordinary cases until the case can be escalated and evacuated.

The RSACs use a remote health care model with nurse-practitioner-run mobile clinics. Our mission will be to deliver and care for babies and mothers. We will need to test and treat STIs including Hepatitis and HIV. Our work will include working with other organizations to find long term homes for mother and child.

If you feel that you are qualified  in some manner you are asked to contact The RINJ Foundation Women >> here.

Contact RSACs  here for general inquiries.
