A plan for Gaza: First, stand down.

UN Middle East Peace Special Coordinator Nickolay Mladenov says his door is open: “We need to do everything in our power to revive the reconciliation process and to restart the talks that would bring Gaza and the West Bank under one government, under one legal system, and establish one legitimate control of all weapons. “

Feminine Perspective: There are better ways to solve the Israeli / Palestinian crisis than with the violence that has persisted in the past week and killed so many women and children this year. There are no good guys, just killers.  Avoid war, fix the humanitarian problems of Gaza, and get back to the reconciliation process.

Nickolay Mladenov (Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process), in mid July offered his “deepest condolences to the parents of all the children whose lives have been lost in the past few weeks; to all journalists and to all medical professionals who have lost their lives in the line of duty. ” Read his full remarks from Gaza a week ago. Remarks_in_gaza_-_15_july_2018

Over the weekend, UN Secretary‑General António Guterres pleaded with all sides to the conflict but particularly Hamas which Feminine Perspective observes  has been launching a disgusting array of antagonistic and dangerous incendiaries at the Gaza fence to intimidate the IDF.

Says the office of the UN Secretary General, “I am gravely concerned over the dangerous escalation of violence in Gaza and southern Israel.  I deeply regret the loss of life.  It is imperative that all sides urgently step back from the brink of another devastating conflict.”

“I call on Hamas and other Palestinian militants to cease the launching of rockets and incendiary kites and provocations along the fence.  And Israel must exercise restraint to avoid further inflaming the situation.”  – UN Secretary‑General António Guterres
