Donald Trump’s most dangerous lies include:
- “The reason why we have so many cases is because we do so much testing,” and
- “The pandemic is now rounding the corner and will be over soon”.
But the facts are as published in published in The Lancet that there are 2747 serious COVID-19 cases per 100,000 front-line health-care workers compared with 242 cases per 100,000 people in the general population, killing over 306,000 Americans while Donald Trump says it is a big nothing.
“Over 306,000 excess deaths did not happen because of too much testing. Testing did not kill these people, SARS2 killed them,” says American nurse practitioner Monique Deslauriers.
WhatTrump’s marginalization of SARS2 means to frontline workers is chilling. Of all the people in the world who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against SARS-COV-2, front line medical workers have lost the most lives among them and their families; and they endured the most hardships as a community.
“Donald Trump’s minimizing the sacrifices of my peers, even the ones we have lost to COVID-19, is why physicians and nurses are an at-risk profession of suicide, in 2020, with women particularly at risk,” says Nurse Practitioner Kathy Poon.

Please remember these courageous frontliners in your prayerful moments.
“Frontliners’ joy is case-by-case beating the virus,” says nurse Deslauriers. “Please help by not becoming a casualty in this war. Wear a mask; maintain social distancing of two meters; neither create or join any crowds; wash your hands regularly and stay home as much as possible.”

2747 Cases per 100,000 front-line health-care workers compared with 242 cases per 100,000 people in the general population killing over 300,000 Americans as Donald Trump says it is a big nothing.
As August opened, a new study published in The Lancet, revealed that “The prevalence of COVID-19 was 2747 cases per 100,000 front-line health-care workers compared with 242 cases per 100?000 people in the general community. The highest infection rates were reported in the US states New York, New Jersey, and Louisiana and in areas around London and the Midlands in the UK.
Compared with the general community, front-line health-care workers were at increased risk for reporting a positive COVID-19 test (adjusted HR 11·61, 95% CI 10·93–12·33). To account for differences in testing frequency between front-line health-care workers and the general community and possible selection bias, an inverse probability-weighted model was used to adjust for the likelihood of receiving a COVID-19 test (adjusted HR 3·40, 95% CI 3·37–3·43). Secondary and post-hoc analyses suggested adequacy of PPE, clinical setting, and ethnic background were also important factors.

“There’s no rounding the corner. This is a 45 degree deadly climb that will continue until leadership builds a unifying plan to stop the raging killer”.
“THe truth is that Donald Trump’s Presidency has brought over 306,583 excess deaths by 5pm 24 October, almost certainly because of mismanaging COVID-19,” says the Board of Directors of The RINJ Foundation. which has responded to healt care workers who feel that Trump is marginalizing their sacrifices “by claiming the pandemic is a big nothing”.

At least one politician is talking about the ferociousness of the virus and offering a carefully built plan with a good formula for execution.

Americans vaccinated in pharmaceutical projects testing vaccines have had a good result thus far. That includes nearly 50,000 Americans who actually received a vaccine. The vaccine programmes underway may not yield a total solution therefore masks and social distancing will still be in effect as a way to prevent COVID-19 spread.
Actual excess deaths in the USA and the forecast to Spring 2021 bar any change in Trump policy.

Social Media Platforms, Facebook in Particular, Are Raking in Money from Anti-Vaccine Campaigns
A new report by the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) has lambasted social media companies for allowing the anti-vaccine movement to remain on their platforms. The report’s authors noted that “social media accounts held by so-called anti-vaxxers have increased their following by at least 7·8 million people since 2019.
“The decision to continue hosting known misinformation content and actors left online anti-vaxxers ready to pounce on the opportunity presented by coronavirus”, stated the report. The CCDH warned that the growing anti-vaccine movement could undermine the roll-out of any future vaccine against COVID-19.”
The report noted that 31 million people follow anti-vaccine groups on Facebook, “with 17 million people subscribing to similar accounts on YouTube”.
The CCDH calculated the anti-vaccine movement could realize US$1 billion in annual revenues for social media firms.
As much as $989 million could accrue to Facebook and Instagram alone, largely from advertising targeting the 38·7 million followers of anti-vaccine accounts. Huge sums indeed, but it is worth noting that, in 2019, Facebook generated revenue of $70·7 billion.
