Brexit is failing because nobody wants it says Petition of 5+ Million

British PM Theresa May’s valiant efforts may have failed because Brits don’t really want to leave the European Union. They shouldn’t, say more than 5.1 million which is 5 million more than is needed to trigger a parliamentary debate.

Brexit second vote demanded by 4 million on petition and uncounted tens of thousands as numbers in the streets grow. Kill Brexit and remain in the EU is demanded by over 5.1 million in a petition that now must be debated. Hundreds of thousands of protesters agree with the petitioners. Speaking out in contrast with his party leader‘s obstinate stand against a second Brexit plebiscite, Chancellor Philip Hammond said a second referendum is a “coherent proposition” that deserves consideration.

“One way or another Parliament is going to have the opportunity this week to decide what it is in favor of, and I hope that it will take that opportunity — if it can’t get behind the Prime Minister’s deal — to say clearly and unambiguously what it can get behind,” Hammond told Sky News.

“I’m not sure that there’s a majority in Parliament for a second referendum but it’s a perfectly coherent proposition — many people will be strongly opposed to it, but it’s a coherent proposition and it deserves to be considered along with the other proposals.”

More history. Above, at the front of a demonstration against Brexit in Manchester in September 2017, a float showed a multi-headed chimera with the faces of Theresa May and three leading Brexit campaigners: Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, Environment Secretary Michael Gove and Brexit Secretary David Davis. It beared the inscription “Brexit is a monstrosity” – “Let’s stop it”. The float was made by Jacques Tilly and his team, opposing Brexit.
