7 shots illustrate America in a shameful condition

Seven shots that do not fit anywhere near Martin Luther King’s dream. America is in a shameful condition.

In fact, America’s white supremacist society has become more of the cult Martin Luther King detested.

Last Sunday, twenty-nine-year old Jacob Blake of Kenosha Wisconsin was shot seven times in the back as his small children watched and shuddered to the gun blasts that echoed in their vehicle, a meeter from their faces, at above 90 decibel sound levels that can leave the little ones with tinnitus for days if not for the rest of their lives. Yes. America is in a shameful condition.

At the time of the shooting, Mr. Blake was restrained in the driver’s doorway by Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey who held Blake from entering his vehicle to see his children. Sheskey was grasping the back of Blake’s shirt.  (Video)

* the Negro still is not free.
* the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination.
* the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land.
* America is in a shameful condition.

According to medical sources,

  • “Young Mr. Blake is still undergoing surgeries.
  • “He is handcuffed to a bed, paralyzed from the waist down.
  • “He has lost reproductive function;
  • “The patient’s spinal chord is damaged and at least two vertebrae are destroyed;
  • “Mr. Blake’s lower colon has been removed and his intestine has been re-sectioned in multiple locations.
  • “The patient has lost much of his peritoneum.
  • “The function of Mr. Blake’s abdominal organs may be challenged.”

“It is hard to understand why he survives, unless there really is a God or a man in heaven watching over him,” comments nurse practitioner Monique Deslauriers, a US-based front liner who is so invested in the “Black Lives Matter” movement she can recite word and verse of Martin Luther King’s “I had a dream“.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

“I have a dream today!

“This event is as bad as the worst crimes committed in the nations Donald Trump calls ‘shitholes’, she adds.

Listen to Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech. It is still uplifting and you might need that now.

“Thank you for keeping  ‘Black Lives Matter‘ alive,” says Monique, with passion.

So we pass that along.
