“Kudos to New Zealand’s parliamentary petitioner, Aimee Wilson, for recognizing this important fact of reality,” says Michele Francis of The RINJ Foundation, a global women’s group that has emphatically stressed that “government must get out of wombs“.
“Induced abortion is a medical procedure and a decision that must be made between patient and medical practitioner,” notes Ms. Katie Alsop, also of RINJ.

Here is an example of America’s Ill-advised struggle to legislate the womb. “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act”
“Laws upon laws upon amendments like the US “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act” was a valiant effort to cope with one of the horrific outcomes of American stupidity. It’s another effort to remedy an error in thinking: the patriarch’s effort to legislate the womb. America’s patriarch is at it every day,” says Katie Alsop.
(Note: Senate – 02/25/2019 Closure on the motion to proceed not invoked in Senate by Yea-Nay Vote. 53 – 4. Read text of Bill.)
“The medical procedure of of induced abortion should not be a political football for the patriarch to control with buzzwords like “CHOICE” and “MY BODY” being thrown around by the puppet-girls of the patriarch.
“Calmly trust the doctor and patient deciding what to do when the doctor needs a medical procedure as a response to indications of maternal or infant morbidity,” says Ms. Alsop of The RINJ Foundation.
Here is one of the complications of splitting hairs over arcane abortion laws. No law is needed. A good-intention effort to fix a broken thing: “I want to thank the Majority Leader for scheduling this vote so that every American can know where their Senator stands on the issue of infanticide. A lot of Senators spend a lot of time telling people how they fight for the little guy. Well, here’s the chance for them to prove it. We’re going to have a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and everyone is going to have to put their name by their vote. It’s cowardly for a politician to say they’ll fight for the little guy but only if the little guy isn’t an actual seven-pound baby who’s fighting for life. It shouldn’t be hard to protect newborn babies – let’s pass this legislation.”

Word to the wise from the RINJ Women: “Decriminalizing abortion is the right thing to do. Induced abortion is a medical procedure. In most countries, if not everywhere, the baby’s rights are equal to the mother’s rights in the eyes of the doctor and the law of the land plus international law. A baby’s rights are covered under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and under many child protection laws. Decriminalizing abortion is better for the baby. Be careful what you think and believe about cult mantras on “choice”. Remember that all humans are equal in the eyes of existing Commonwealth of Nations statutes, and most others. Don’t become pregnant if you do not wish to have a child. Health care including contraception should be provided by your government. Abortion for the purpose of birth control is murder whether forced on a baby by its mother, religious fundamentalists, racist and despotic governments, or any other malign actors who have been doing these crimes. Female infanticide or any form of gender selection murder is criminal conduct.”
In most countries, if not everywhere, the baby’s rights are equal to the mother’s rights in the eyes of the doctor and the law of the land, plus international law.
Decriminalizing induced abortion procedures is not about a “right to choose” or “what women can do with their body“, says Ms. Alsop, it is about a medical procedure that is used to mitigate infant and maternal morbidity.
“Hopeless pregnancies must be terminated promptly to avoid exacerbation of the contraindicating condition when this status becomes known. This is a sad state of affairs and the only thing that can be said is, ‘get healthy and try again when that time is right according to your medical care givers‘,” she added.
Abortion used as a method of gender selection (infanticide) is a criminal act of murder often referred to as infanticide. Female infanticide has been dramatically reducing the number of female humans. In India and China together there are at least 100 million males now who will never get married because there are too many men and too few females. Read if you wish -> Female Infanticide is not Abortion, it is MURDER.
“Once abortion is decriminalized,” she noted, “the rights of the unborn child are now covered by much stronger laws, so don’t be fooled into thinking you are a Goddess and can decide life and death for a baby. Don’t become pregnant if you don’t wish to have a child. In any case, follow your doctor’s advise.”
RINJ literature on family planning sets out the widespread belief that the human body makes most decisions about pregnancies and their termination in the event of chromosome mismatching or other contraindications the body can detect.
But medical science is a step ahead and modern diagnostics take into consideration the mother’s health condition and her needs. At any point during a pregnancy these factors can change and tough decisions must be taken. The doctor will save the lives she can save. This is why the procedure must not be criminalized.
The New Zealand petition simply decriminalizes the procedure.
Petition request
That the House of Representatives take abortion out of the Crimes Act 1961 so that abortion is not considered a crime in New Zealand.
Petition reason
Abortion should not be a crime because I believe that all women should have the option to have an abortion without being considered a criminal.

The general abortion rate is the number of abortions per 1,000 of the mean estimated population of women aged 15-44 years.
Statistical coverage and laws relating to induced abortion affect international comparisons of abortion statistics.
Induced abortions are not a notifiable procedure in many countries and statistics on abortion rates are not available for many countries.
Consequently, differences between abortion rates for New Zealand and other countries should be interpreted with care.

According to Francis who works for RINJ in Venezuela with a team of nurses, “Women in around the world must realize that decriminalizing abortion is a must. It is a medical procedure.
“All medical procedures must be applied appropriately and when they are used to commit a crime as in euthanasia and killing a baby, the actors may be subjected to capital punishment or to other severe penalties for taking a life,” she added.
- “Using abortion as a method of birth control is murder. Heed this warning.
- “Women have the right to decide what to do with their body but not their baby’s body.
- “Women have the inalienable right to make a decision about coitus and anything else that happens to their body. Wise decisions would include safe sex and good contraception. (Read about HIV).
- “Decisions about abortion should be made immediately before implantation of a fertilized ovum occurs (between 6 to 12 days after ovulation) in rape and incest cases. DO NOT make the patient suffer additional crisis.
- “Governments should make good contraception available at no cost to all women who ask. Many countries do this already and a brief investigation yields some very practical methodology.”
