“Not only is Netanyahu distracted from his potentialy monstrous criminal conviction burden, but Israelis want him gone. The world wants the Netanyahu problem gone is what demonstrators scream in the streets of Tel Aviv this weekend. Some people were even saying he should be hung but there are no laws that provide for that.  He is going to prison,” suggests Simon Baldock, an Israeli security analyst based in Tel Aviv.

Israel’s Minister of Economy Nir Barkat seems to be setting foreign policy all of a sudden, with incendiary remarks that maybe stand out above all the cabinet members’ incendiary remarks, because Mr. Barkat’s attacks and threats are against Iran which is no small military player.

Minister Barkat said Iran’s Ayatollahs will be “wiped off the face of the Earth” if Hezbollah attacks Israel. Hezbollah has attacked Israel leaving at least one of Israel’s bases aflame.

“The plan of Iran is to attack Israel on all fronts,” as if Iran has revealed its plan to Mr. Barkat or it came to him in a dream.

“If we find they intend to target Israel, we will not just retaliate to those fronts, but we will go to the head of the snake, which is Iran,” said Mr. Barkat as if the foreign policies of Israel come directly and exclusively from him.

“If our enemies attack, we will wipe them all out.”

“Israel has a very clear message to our enemies. We are saying to them, look what’s happening in Gaza–you are going to get the same treatment if you attack us. We are going to wipe you off the face of the Earth,” said Mr. Barkat, again speaking as if he is a dictator setting policy of the alleged democracy of Israel.

Israel has proven itself effective at killing children and babies.

In actual fact, the enemies in Gaza that Israel is killing, as Barkat boasts,  are 2.3 million unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, who wouldn’t think of acquiring a firearm, even if they could. And a gun wouldn’t help much because Israel is bombing them with American air-dropped bombs and firing heavy artillery at the civilians from navy ships and army artillery guns all at close range—then denying it when inspectors raise hell as in the case of the AL Ahli Baptist Hospital.

China has redirected six significant warships into the region to keep an eye on things.

“America is flooding weapons into the area, looking for a war,” says Mr. Baldock.

“There is going to be a major war,” say most members of FPMag’s editorial board.
