China has been entering risk-sharing joint ventures with South American nations since a decade ago. They will build and supply in the region some of China’s most sophisticated multirole fighter/ground attack aircraft, and other weapons.
Talk of business ventures, space exploration and future prosperity have a better ring than mass killing and strategic weapons. That may sum up the China vs U.S. conflict. China has never invaded anyone. It seeps, leaking slowly through porous material or small holes.
Meanwhile, America has over 850 military bases spread across 80 countries and the number of bases is growing including another one in Guam and four-to-five more in the Philippines part of the U.S. preparations for war with China on anyone else’s soil but America’s continental soil.
The GOP Congress is silent about China’s overfishing the South American waters barely leaving a scale and a fin for the hungry fisherfolk of the region. The GOP has wasted a lot of time in the hysterical tracking of Walmart helium balloons and now desert space stations.
Arguably, China, having 1.4 billion mouths to feed, is overly concerned about feeding its folks whereas America has its poor population live in sqalour on the sidewalks in the inner cities or under decrepit bridges, where food is scare and health care is impossible for the poor so it is handled by bully cops to the death.
What the leaderless GOP is incensed about is the FC-1/JF-17 and the J-10, both built by Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) and both could be flying in South American nation livery before the GOP looks up from its navel-gazing next time.
About the only creature in the world who did not know about the China/Pakistan/Argentina dealings is a former Hitler-Nazi turtle named Herreman—more Testudinidae than Ninja— who lives on the shores of Venezuela, forever being hunted by Nicolás Maduro Moros who has a passion for Nazi-turtle soup (and truth-be-known, likes to babble to sea-turtles because nobody else will talk to him). Some of Maduro’s Nazi war-criminal friends who rode on his bus back in the day told him the soup is an aphrodisiac.
The current assault on South America, Buenos Aires in particular, is led by Western Hemisphere Subcommittee Chair Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) who in her own words says she “exposed the Argentinian government’s military cooperation with the Chinese government under the direction of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner,” whom she apparently hates.
Representative Salazar, sounding like a cartel boss, threatened the existence of the nation state of Argentina if it came anywhere close to buying aircraft from China.

The selected aircraft could be manufactured, in part, in Argentina and in other South American countries as an industrial offset package to the sale by China of military equipment to South American nations including Brazil, FPM.news has learned.
During a visit by Argentine president Alberto Fernandez to Beijing, a memorandum of understanding was signed that points the way to bigger things than just hobnobbing in the Great Hall of the People.
“At the noon of 6 February 2022 at the Great Hall of the People, President Xi Jinping met with President Alberto Fernández of Argentina who came to China to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022,” where Mr. Fernández was a red-carpet guest, according to official statements.
“President Xi pointed out that this year (2022) marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Argentina. Over the past five decades, the two countries have always provided each other with mutual understanding and support. In the face of COVID-19, the two countries have come together in mutual support and assistance, setting a good example of solidarity and cooperation between emerging market countries. Noting that both China and Argentina are committed to a people-centered philosophy of development and that people of both countries wish to see bilateral cooperation deepened, President Xi expressed China’s readiness to work together with Argentina to build on the successful experience of bilateral relations in the past 50 years to advance exchanges and cooperation across the board and usher in another 50 years of brilliant achievements in China-Argentina comprehensive strategic partnership,” said a statement released by the Chinese government in November 2022.
The two sides released a Joint Statement on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Argentina, and signed a series of cooperation documents including the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Argentina on cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative.
Video: Florida Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar interrogated officials from the State Department on the construction of what she described as ‘deep space stations and fighter jet factories in Argentina’.
On Tuesday, Ms. Salazar slammed officials from the Biden government who gave evidence in committee and then Representative Salazar went on to attack the government of Argentina in Spanish.
Racist assumptions that it’s evil, ugly and yellow because it’s China
“It is of grave concern that members of the State Department were not able to answer even the most basic questions about the penetration of Chinese influence in Latin America,” said Representative Salazar.
“As the chair of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee, I am committed to ensuring Latin America remains a part of the free world,” said Ms. Salazar.
Ed. Note: The witnesses did actually say they would not answer Salazar’s questions except in an in-Cameria classified session (“classified as ‘secret'”).
“Argentinian Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is openly considering purchasing Chinese JF-17 fighter jets and making them in Argentina at specially built Chinese factories. This policy follows a trend of similar deals the Chinese made with Venezuela and Bolivia,” said Representative Salazar.
Ed. Note: Argentina has been in discussions with Chinese and Pakistani government officials and industry officials since at least 2015 according to trusted sources who do not wish to be identified.
Ms. Salazar continued to say, “Argentina has also allowed the Chinese Communist Party complete control of a deep space station. The station is approximately 400 football fields in size and is located in the middle of the Patagonian Desert. There is no oversight agreement of the base or its activities, even with the Argentinian government.”
Ms. Salazar said in a statement she is disappointed, “the Biden State Department did not even seem to be aware of the existence of this space station on Argentinian soil.”
(Ed. Perhaps the question needed more explanation. “Space Station” normally refers to orbital platforms. In this case, it is an antenna farm. But the U.S. Congress, Pentagon and State Department have been talking (complaining) for many years about these developments, including U.S. Admiral Craig Faller who has been blasting away at the dangers inherent for at least five years.)

This operation is indeed significantly protected and under sharp Chinese observation with video cameras everywhere according to a ReaperTeam member who knows the area well.

In February 2019, Admiral Craig Faller, commander of U.S. Southern Command, gave public evidence before the U.S. Congress, warning lawmakers about China’s fast expansion into Latin America. He said, “Beijing could be in violation of the terms of its agreement with Argentina to only conduct civilian activities and may have the ability to monitor and potentially target U.S., allied, and partner space activities,” said Faller, in a written evidentiary statement to the Senate Armed Services Committee. This testimony is well established as a public record and is a ‘deep-space-station’ condemnation of Ms. Salazar’s bizarre allegation that the U.S. State Department knows nothing about the antenna farm or the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) stations China co-operates with Argentina.
Fortunately, there are no aliens or UFOs involved in Ms. Salazar’s lead into this latest Congressional Hysteria.
Later, on 15 March 2021, as commander of U.S. forces in Central and South America, Southern Command, Admiral Craig Faller told lawmakers that China had become the leading threat in the region, taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic and increased lawlessness to ‘impose its will on a growing number of countries’. (Really? There has been a trans-Pacific ‘sky-path’ travelled by South American leaders to Beijing in the past decade. Xi Jinping’s ten-day trip to Latin America in July 2014 constituted an important milestone suggested the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in 2014.)

The JF-17 is a candidate at the top of the list for a sale to Argentina and possibly one or more other countries, according to sources, because of its attractive industrial offset package posed by Pakistan and China.
