“Maybe Zelenskyy just likes killing his own people or is it just about killing the ethnic Russians in the Donbass region? Thus far he has turned down every credible peace proposal for the region. If he thinks he is going to convince the people of Donetsk and Luhansk to come back to Ukraine, which populations having left Ukraine and formed their own countries despite withstanding every imaginable scourge of shelling and torture, then Zelynskyy has gone too far past just dusting his nose. If one gets to the point, they make no sense at all, ever, it is clear they are snorting far too much cocaine and need to stop using so much,” explains Alona Adamovich, a former rehab nursing specialist and director of The RINJ Foundation for Ukraine.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has repeatedly offered his good offices as a peace negotiator for the parties.

“We humanitarians in Ukraine are aware of the efforts of President Widodo. He has been here. We hold out a lot of hope for his ideas,” Alona Adamovich said about this weekend’s developments.

Alona Adamovich is a seasoned professional who has been in the war zones of Ukraine since 2012. She had been asked to comment on the Kiev rejection of the Indonesian roadmap to peace proposal. Her experiences provide an intimate knowledge of the Ukraine crisis although she is unfamiliar with the makeup of ASEAN leaders assembled in Singapore where the Indonesian peace bid was introduced.

“The Indonesian proposal by Prabowo Subianto is brilliant. It called on defence and military officials at the Shangri-La Dialogue defence meeting in Singapore to back an immediate cease fire; agree to a demilitarized zone along the disputed territories; and a United Nations backed referendum by the people of the regions who would be given the chance to decide if they wanted to be part of Ukraine or continue as part of their own self-governed republics, a status quo since 2014; and part of the Russian Federation as such which is the status quo today,” she explained.

“That’s two perfect solutions from Asia; one from China and one from Indonesia. The Americans have shot down the proposals one after another saying they want to keep fighting in Ukraine and will continue to do so. Lately they have been attacking civilians in Belgorod, Russia and in Moscow where patience has been running thin, with hawkish influencers demanding President Putin take a harder line on Kiev and Washington,”

“I especially like the idea of sending in UN Peacekeepers to the demilitarized zone and helping enforce the ceasefire,” added Alona Adamovich.

Showing up at the Asian defence conference in Singapore was Europe’s troupe of non-elected barking warmonger dogs demanding war continue as did Josep Borrell Fontelles, a high representative of the European Union’s European Commission, saying that if military support for Ukraine stopped, the war would quickly end, hence, “We cannot stop supporting militarily Ukraine because we don’t want the peace which is … the peace of the surrender. The peace of the stronger,” Borrell said referring to the collective voices invited to participate in a referendum by the Indonesian proposal, for the people of Donbass who following their referendum to leave Ukraine have been slammed by American, European and Ukrainian shelling since 2014.
