What it is like to be a woman humanitarian worker in Ukraine.

“Like in Sudan, even the humanitarian workers, the doctors, nurses, EMS workers and first aiders are fleeing the violence with targets on their backs. Let’s face it, our governments around the world are awful people. They put their wealth and power ahead of the value of the human lives they were supposed to protect. What is happening today is sickening. I never would have expected workers in Ukraine begging to go to Syria and Afghanistan instead of Ukraine,” Dr. Nassima al Amouri of RINJ Women wrote in a supporting report and plea for more funding of humanitarian assistance in Ukraine.

A plea for help. “We don’t want guns we need bandages, crutches, child-prosthetics and clothing—everything needed by women and kids whose home was blown up in Ukraine,” said the doctor, a medical director for RSAC Nurses.

RINJ Women backed by thousands of devoted females around the world support their humanitarian sisters working in Ukraine to save lives. They have been doing that since 2015 but unless they are better supported, they will necessarily leave.

“When the fighters find our clinics, they attack, rape and torture every female they find,” explains Leah, a guard whose partner Lori was murdered in Donbass by soldiers trying to kill their victim of a gang rape, to shut her up. Lori saved that girl’s life. The child Lori saved will go on to tell her story at future enquiries. Lori will never be forgotten by her sisters, say her peers.
