Israel will not be secure while Muslim Arabs are under apartheid

On 7 October 2023, Al-Qassam did to Israel what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians for 75 years and that is the whole problem of the Middle East. Yahya Sinwar, one of the Hamas leaders, was found dead in a displacement camp in Tel al-Sultan, Rafah, deceased with two others, a few days ago. He is dead. So what? Hamas is a movement among people who think the same way—they want to be free. Nobody wants to be under apartheid. The next leader will be the same because there are no other choices. Everyone wants to be free from Israel’s horrific brutal crimes against humanity.

An analysis by Behar Abbasi who is a Yemen doctor who has been in and out of Gaza helping in crisis after crisis with a team of RINJ Women humanitarians spread across the Middle East. Behar has been in Gaza every day since 8 October 2023.

That Yahya Sinwar used Palestinians as human shields is nonsense—a lie. This never happened, ever, and it would not have been tolerated by any Palestinian. Hamas violence was not strongly tolerated in Gaza but Hamas ability to keep the sewars working and the water running has given Hamas a lot of respectability. CNN quotes Hamas every time it delivers some semblance of a death count in Gaza during the genocide.

Hamas want Freedom not Hamas say Gazans

The educated class in Gaza rejected and feared Yahya Sinwar’s Hamas missteps, holding a belief that diplomacy and better real government could solve Palestine’s problems. They hated and feared Israeli brutal occupiers but anytime Hamas came between the civilian and an Israeli bullet, Hamas was in the good side.

Remember Hamas is a large governance movement and thousands of people working as bureaucrats, garbage collectors, maintenance workers and so on, grumbled about their employer like anyone might do but were thankful to have employment and thankful for the perceived protection.

Yahya Ibrahim Hassan Sinwar is no loss to the Palestinian cause because he will be replaced in a heartbeat, but his death is a loss to the people who believed Mr. Sinwar could deliver their freedom. His death is not good for anyone. The extremely angry young men as independent actors in control of hostages, (not all Israeli hostages are held by Hamas) will do something crazy and violent like kill hostages, because they lost hope and are desperate after a year of horrible misery and death.

True fanatics exist to take Mr. Sinwar’s place, like his brother and the Yahya Sinwar supporting aides. The problem is that the core doctrine of Hamas leadership in Gaza is keeping itself in power because it is unwanted. All politicians have betrayed Palestine.

Hamas shooting rockets at civilians in Israel was insane and helped nothing. Academics reeled over such conduct.

Yahya Sinwar methods have pushed Hamas into a mindset of barbarians, and he has destroyed the claimed Hamas vision and the hope of any person who put money on Hamas accomplishing anything whatsoever. Hamas hasn’t accomplished anything.

Hamas has been propped up by Netanyahu and the USA for years.

Keeping Hamas alive for Netanyahu kept him in power as the strongman who had an enemy of the people to fight.

Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority’s West Bank government has been striving to create the statehood of Palestine since 2008 and even before but in 2008 he was elected president of the Palestine Authority.

Consequently, in this attempt to undermine Mr. Abbas, Hamas transitioned from being simply a terrorist group to an entity that engaged in indirect negotiations with Israel through Egypt, and was permitted to receive monetary support from foreign sources.

Hamas needs to stop lying about the death count in Gaza. Hamas hears criticism from inside Gaza. Hamas has managed to maintain its existence and power by keeping Israel’s apartheid going for decades just as it has managed to keep the Gaza Genocide going. Hamas has kept this going and has been supported for a long time by Israel because Israel also wants to keep apartheid going and basically seeks to exterminate the people of Palestine and take all their land. Lately this cooperation is ignored by media.

From time to time the relationship between Mr. Sinwar, his predecessors and Netanyahu has been symbiotic.

People who have not studied the dynamics reel at this suggestion, but it has been true. Netanyahu has supported Hamas just as America has supported Hamas. The fights generate a lot of kickbacks from military sales for all sides.

Incendiary balloons and rocket fire from Gaza terrorized Civilians and damaged the Palestinian cause. Wake up, Palestine. Apartheid and occupation must end.

Most Hamas activities as a resistance movement under Yahya Sinwar have been more than just crude and had no reasonable expectation of achieving anything. Most resistance movements under similar circumstances live to block their oppressors and end the apartheid by making it impossible

Yahya Sinwar has screwed around with the people of Gaza just as the Israelis have done. It is absolutely unbelievable that Hamas has been allowed to exist in its past form, but the people of Gaza have no ability to refute the authority of Hamas, and the Palestinian Authority has been ineffective in managing anything anywhere at any time. Palestine needs leadership.

Israel knows that Palestine academic leadership excels and that is why Israelis have attacked and killed the brightest minds at Gaza’s universities and taken hostage those people of the West Bank who looked like leaders. They were professors, doctors and others who excelled academically and formed the humanitarian core of Palestine.

The seismic event in Gaza is the destruction of many hundreds of thousands of human lives with bombs and starvation.

Gaza is in total ruin, uninhabitable, and Israel is trying to settle the north Gaza real estate but has been unable to remove all the Palestinians from north Gaza so Israel is killing everyone there and planning the construction of homes for a list of 20,000 settlers or more, now, who say they want homes there.

Mohammed Sinwar, the brother of Yaya Sinwar is another total annoyance to peace in Gaza, Palestine. Peace will not come from submission but from the work of a smart negotiator.

The boy from Khan Yunis, born sixty-one years ago in the south-eastern region of Gaza, was a street fighter for the people. He wore fatigues and he defended communities from IDF attackers raiding homes and killing women and children.

Yahya Sinwar has been seen by this author regularly. He was always helping the people. He would accompany wounded men in his group to get them care from anyone he felt could help. He was courteous and liked. He will be missed but the violence of Hamas will not be missed by women and children in Gaza.

The people here just want to be free and may be grateful for Sinwar’s death as an opportunity to state their case, but Sinwar’s replacement is likely determined by him, and this is only something to fear.

The RINJ Foundation has accused Hamas of genocide complicity.
