Volodymir Zelenskyy’s peace conference on the 55 -participant war against Russia had no crucial attendees. This 3rd event was without the other side: Russia.
At Zelenskyy’s insistence, a large percentage of the attendees in Lucerne, Switzerland, declared “territorial integrity” of Ukraine was a needed inclusion of any deal, but the day prior the Kremlin had published its own dictates.

Canada sets out its position. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is among the participants in a plenary session of the 2024 Summit on Peace in Ukraine.
Among the noteworthy aspects of the conference and arguably one of the reasons Trudeau seems to make no sense here in places—our shackled PM is briefed by Canadian military officers who are briefed by American military liaison officers, who are briefed by the White House political advisors who are briefed by U.S. Democrat political party officials—is that Russia invaded Ukraine after repeatedly warning NATO that Russia would not accept NATO nuclear missiles on its border at Ukraine. Manipulated by the USA, Ukraine in 2014, when this war began, after the American-adduced Maidan Revolution to overthrow the neutral government dropped its neutrality.
“The magnitude of the aggressive moves taken by the Pentagon and CIA are just now becoming apparent,” notes The CATO Institute.
For years, the Kremlin has emphatically stated that Ukraine’s invitation to join NATO would cross a red line, posing a threat to Russia’s vital security interests. The issue was not just about Kiev’s formal entry into the NATO alliance. Statements from Russian President Vladimir Putin and other officials indicated that the truly unacceptable scenario was Ukraine turning into a NATO / USA military asset and a venue for U.S. and NATO forces deployment. This risk then materialized, despite France and Germany’s ongoing obstruction of a formal membership invitation to Ukraine. After years of making his point, Putin gave six months warning that he was preparing to invade Ukraine if no peace agreement could be reached that would keep American nuclear missiles out of Ukraine. Putin was told by U.S. President Joe Biden, “Go ahead.”
Putin invaded and America scrambled to get its troops out of Ukraine like it did in the Philippines when Japan began to invade that country. RINJ Foundation humanitarian workers watched as 70,000 Ukrainian, American and other troops fled the Donetsk PR contact line the day Russian Federation troops first crossed the border into Luhansk PR with thousands of citizens lining the roads, cheering. There’s a truth that was not discussed in the lavish collective shower of the luxury Burgenstock resort, near Lucerne, on Saturday.

In a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, President Putin said during his opening remarks that, “sometimes one gets the impression that the ruling European politicians and representatives [of the] European bureaucracies are more afraid of falling out of favor with Washington than of losing the trust of their own people, their own Citizens. The recent elections to the European Parliament are They also show it. European politicians swallow humiliation, rudeness, and scandals with surveillance of European leaders, and the United States simply uses them in its own interests: they force them to buy their expensive gas – by the way, gas is three or four times in Europe more expensive than in the United States, as it is now, for example, they demand that European countries increase supply of weapons to Ukraine. By the way, the requirements constant here and there. And sanctions are imposed against them, against economic operators in Europe. Brought in for a sweet soul, without any hesitation.
“Now they are forced to increase supplies arming Ukraine, to expand its capacity for the production of artillery shells. Listen to who these shells will be are needed when the conflict in Ukraine ends? How it can ensure military security Europe? Wonder. The United States itself invests in military technology, and in technology Tomorrow: into space, into modern drones, in strike systems based on new physical principles, that is, in those areas which in the future will determine the character of armed struggle, and hence the military-political the potential of the powers, their positions in the world. And these are now assigned the following role: invest money where we need it. But this does not increase any potential European. God be with them, let them. For us, Maybe this is good, but, in fact, it is true,” said Mr. Putin.
On June 14, Russia made a ‘true peace proposal to Kiev’, which envisages the recognition of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhya regions as Russian territories, the consolidation of Ukraine’s non-aligned and nuclear-free status, its demilitarization and denazification, and the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with senior diplomats, according to Tass.
“As soon as Kiev agrees to these conditions, agrees to completely withdraw its troops from the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhya and Kherson regions and actually launches this process, we are ready to start negotiations without delay. I repeat, our principled position is as follows: the neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear status of Ukraine, its demilitarization and denazification. What’s more, these parameters were generally agreed upon by everyone back during the Istanbul talks in 2022. Everything was clear regarding demilitarization, everything was spelled out, including the number of tanks, and everything was agreed upon. Of course, the rights and freedoms of Russian-speaking citizens in Ukraine must be fully ensured, the new territorial realities and the status of Crimea, Sevastopol, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as Russian constituencies must be recognized. In the future, all these basic, principled provisions should be recorded in terms of fundamental international agreements,” said President Putin.
“He is not in any position to dictate to Ukraine what they must do to bring about a peace,” U.S. Secretary of Defence Austin told media.
The ‘Peace summit in Ukraine’ attended by representatives of 100 countries had political adviser Jake Sullivan and a brief attendance by Kamala Harris but Biden ditched the event. The event had no consensus on anything with some 13 attendees refusing to sign a final statement.
“The American proxy war in Ukraine is Biden’s baby. Just like Gaza, does he want the fighting to continue? Nothing Biden has done points to a cessation of hostilities,” was the comment of Dale Carter, security director of The RINJ Foundation who attended the event.
While the event was shunned by Joe Biden, Xi Jinping, and many BRICS members, attendees complained that again Russia was not invited.
“Expectations of the meeting with 57 heads of state and government were modest – and they underwhelmed rather than overwhelmed,” opined Sebastian Ramspeck, an international correspondent for Swiss public broadcaster, SRF.
The event was a one-sided discussion of Zelenskyy talking points.
“Our task for today is not to give Russia successes in their offensive operations in Kharkiv,” Zelenskiy told reporters. “The situation is better, it has stabilized, and I believe that in the near future, thanks to our partners there will be strengthening of our warriors.”
Is western military aid sufficient, Zelenskyy was asked.
“There is aid. There are serious packages. Is it enough to win? No. Is it late? Yes. Will there be strengthening of these packages? We are working on this. We are working on a daily basis,” said the acting leader of Ukraine.

“With only one side in a war having a peace conference, leaving the opponent out, the ‘Peace Summit’ [air quotes] was as noteworthy as unheard singing in the shower,” Dale Carter summed up the event.
