More kids killed by Israel daily than those dead in Golan accident

On 27 July, an errant munition hit a soccer field in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The assault caused at least 10 fatalities, including children, and wounded others.

While Israel has attributed the attack to Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based organization has refuted any involvement.

It is totally unlikely that Hezbollah or Iranian proxies would attack Golan. The Syrian Druze population living there follow an offshoot of Shia Islam. Most of the victims of this accidental tragedy are between the ages of 10 and 16.

The United States says, ‘It was Hezbollah’ without offering any evidence. IDF sources on Saturday night first told FPM this was an errant air defence missile warhead. Later the same source hurriedly corrected that saying this was Hezbollah.

“Secretary-General António Guterres and other United Nations officials have condemned Saturday’s rocket attack on a football field in the Golan Heights that killed at least 12 civilians, mainly children and teenagers. Urging restraint, they also warned against escalating violence in the region,” says a statement from the highly ideologically biased  organization. UN officials condemn Golan rocket attack that leaves children and teens among at least 12 dead | UN News.

The missile accident landed in the village of Majdal Shams, home to the Druze community, which constitutes over half of the Golan Heights’ population of 40,000.

This is not Israeli territory. The United Nations considers the Golan Heights to be Syrian territory under Israeli occupation. Israel seized the territory during the 1967 Middle East war and in 1981 applied Israeli law to the Golan Heights claiming it as its own territory. This unlawful action without a defining name is not recognized even yet by the majority of UN nation-members.

Netanyahu is boasting that his Cabinet is meeting to decide who it will kill in retaliation.

The foreign minister of Lebanon has commented on the matter, saying “My feeling is that why would Hezbollah do it to kill Arabs? To kill Syrians? And Hezbollah has been always targeting military positions of Israel, not civilians, [of Syria]” said the foreign minister.

“There’s no logic in it. I’m not saying that they didn’t do it, or they did it. What I’m saying is that there is no logic of Hezbollah doing it.”

There is a growing but still low-level rumble in the security community that this is another Israeli cover-up and blame operation by Netanyahu. Sources at first told FPM this was an accidental crash of an Israeli air defence missile but then later recanted without explanation.

Sources in Israel close to the Netanyahu government say there has been an overly exuberant operation to “produce propaganda material Saturday night and Sunday to show the Iranian ownership of the Faraq-1 and its trajectory for a 6:20PM local time launch from southern Lebanon Saturday”.

Both the United States and Israel have told repeated lies about the 2023/2024  Israeli/Middle East wars. Netanyahu is an habitual liar.

It is no coincidence that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thus far lied his way through a crisis of his own creation. He is known among his former and present coalition partners to be a liar – a pathological liar, a serial liar, and my favorite, the “liar of all liars”. Even Western leaders, like former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and former US President Donald Trump, thought the man was an unbearable liar.  Israelis need to see through the biggest lie of all| Al Jazeera

Benjamin Netanyahu has always been a liar. On a good day, he was at the very least not reliable. But he was a very organized liar. Sharp, focused, knew where he was going.

Hezbollah has confirmed launches but says it struck military targets, not civilians while claiming this was an errant air defence missile crash. Israel refused to answer questions on that item. FPM has asked for clarification on the persons who were preparing or researching images of the Faraq-1 on Saturday, and why was doubt predicted.

Both Israel and the U.S. have claimed Hezbollah carried out the attack but at the same time it was clear Hezbollah was attacking military targets.

Contrarily Hezbollah has publicly claimed to have attacked an Israeli military base in the Golan Heights while simultaneously denying hitting the soccer field, attributing it to an Israeli Iron Dome projectile falling to Earth and being capable of doing the same kind of damage.

Sadness overwhelms many Golan Heights Druze families who are completely unrelated to any of Israel’s many conflicts and a Shia Islam offshoot.  Funerals were attended Sunday by thousands of Druze worshipers and mourners which have been taking place for 10 victims of a weapon accident hitting the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights according to the data and numerous sources. On July 27, 2024, an errant ordnance struck a soccer field in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The assault caused at least 10 fatalities, including children, and wounded many others. The attack has been suspected as an errant Israeli air defence missile fired from a nearby IDF military base under Hezbollah attack and landing with catastrophic outcomes in a Golan Heights civilian area where families attended a socker game. Hezbollah has no record of hitting civilian targets in Israel. This area is an Israeli occupied Syrian region.

“The matter is an accident of a war that should not be happening,” suggests Tel Aviv-based security analyst Simon Baldock.
