Gazans sacrifice all that is precious for freedom and dignity

Understand Gazans. While they suffer immensely, they still hope for freedom and dignity which can only come from the end of occupation and apartheid.

This is a capsule of the message of a moderate Palestinian leader, Ismail Haniyeh, following the 7 October 2023, rebellion against Israel’s apartheid of the Palestinian people. He was the chief negotiator for the Hamas resistance movement, murdered on 31 July 2024.

‘While they suffer immensely, they still hope for freedom and dignity which can only come from the end of occupation and apartheid’ [translated and paraphrased] is what Ismail Abd al-Salah Ahmad Haniyeh had to say after the 7 October IQB incursion into Israel which he essentially dismissed as Israel must “pay a heavy price for their crimes and terrorism against the people of Palestine”.

With Hamas-reported deaths now exceeding 40,000 persons, mostly women and children, the people of Gaza are being slaughtered daily in a strip of land where nobody is safe.

Mr. Hanyeh also remarked in his televised address after the 7-October-2023 incursion into Israel, “How many times have we warned you that the Palestinian people have been living in refugee camps for 75 years, and you refuse to recognize the rights of our people?”.

Mr. Haniyeh in his televised address cited threats, desecration and violence at al-Ḥaram al-Sharīf (the Noble Sanctuary), known more commonly as the Al-Aqsa Mosque; he talked about the stifling blockade of Gaza; and he also spoke of “75 years of living in refugee camps in their own land”.

Born 23 January 1962, Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated on 31 July 2024.

Ironically, Mr. Haniyeh said in Arabic during an address to the Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei on television, “It is Allah who gives life and causes death. And Allah is all-aware of all actions … ‘If a leader leaves, another will arise’,” a day before Israeli/U.S.-forces assassinated Dr. Haniyeh likely using a cruise missile fired from an F-35 or other American-made war machine according to Hamas statements.

Hamas negotiator Ismail Haniyeh & peace talks buried in Qatar. Allegedly talks resumed on 15 August.

The political leader of Hamas, was killed along with his personal bodyguard in the Iranian capital Tehran by an attack of Israel and ally USA against Mr. Haniyeh’s accommodation in a IRGC guesthouse. The attack took place following the inauguration ceremony for Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian.

Netanyahu’s government has told both Britain and French government ministers it expects these countries and the USA to attack Iran should the Islamic Republic launch a retaliatory strike on Israel for the murder iif Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on 31 July.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz is working hard to draw Britain, France and the USA into a major war against Iran and its allies.
