“Secretary Austin spoke with Israeli Minister of Defense Gallant [on the morning of 2 August] about the destabilizing threats posed by Iran, its partners, and proxies. The Secretary reiterated ironclad support for Israel’s security and informed the minister of additional measures to include ongoing and future defensive force posture changes that the department will take to support the defense of Israel,” said Ms. Singh.

“The Secretary and the president have been in close conversations about this. The Secretary will be directing forthcoming force posture moves to bolster our force protection.

“So there’s a commitment that was made in the call with the president and Prime Minister Netanyahu. In terms of what specific units, what specific capabilities, that’s something that the secretary will decide. I don’t have an exact timeline of when that decision will be made, but that was a commitment that the president reiterated to Prime Minister Netanyahu that you saw on the call yesterday.

“And again, the secretary reiterated that in his call with Minister Gallant that happened earlier this morning,” said Ms. Singh in response to a question. Full transcript here: Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh Holds a Press Briefing > U.S. Department of Defense > Transcript.

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier group has been sent to the Persian Gulf region to attend on Iran and other antagonists to the American and Israeli war against the women and children of Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem as an existing carrier group heads to Gulf of Oman to protect Israel.

The Israeli/American assassinations of Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya (HAMAS) political leader Ismail Haniyeh in the Iran capitol city of Tehran on Wednesday and missile assassination of senior Hezbollah commander Fouad Shukur in Beirut on Tuesday have escalated tensions and are threatening an all-out regional war.

Strong language of retaliation has come from Lebanon, Hezbollah, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Yemen’s president Mohammed Ali al-Houthi (since 2015), plus various Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya, the Palestine resistance movement officials, from around the world.

Back-channel dialogues among these entities with America and Israel do not amount to anything in the way of monstrous reactions although resentment toward America’s slaughters in Gaza and provocations of war in the Middle East with massive attacks on Syria, Yemen and Iraq have prompted loud chatter in the security intelligence world about intended attacks in America.

Every day, former President Trump is providing a roadmap into America for undocumented attackers by blasting out encouragement for terrorists to come into Mexico and across into America via the Mexico-USA border.

This is another paradox in the violent USA paradigm of the moment: the White House President claiming he wants de-escalation in the Middle East while massively escalating tensions in the Middle East by violently threatening the ICC Judges who are implementing the international rule of law and their families; attacking Yemen, Iran, Iraq, and Syria; sending massive air force and naval forces into the region; and blocking Middle East Arab nations motions in the UNSC for peace talks and ceasefire orders. At the same time the USA is sending tens of thousands of bombs and artillery shells for use against women and children in Gaza; dozens of warships into the region; and thousands more  USA troops to Israel for the fight against Palestinians.

America is not just complicit but a large part of the Gaza Genocide which is why it has threatened the International Criminal Court.

“This is an extreme escalation of the hostility against the women and children of Palestine, of whom an estimated 130,000 have been killed and buried or are buried under the rubble of what was their apartment buildings in Gaza,” says Dale Carter, security director of The RINJ Foundation global women’s rights group.

“We’ve demonstrated since October and again in April [that] the United States’s global defense is dynamic, and the department retains the capability to deploy on short notice to meet evolving national security threats,” she said. “As a result, the secretary will be directing multiple, forthcoming force-posture moves to bolster force protection for U.S. forces regionwide, to provide elevated support to the defence of Israel and to ensure the United States is prepared to respond to this evolving crisis,” said Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh Friday.
