She has worked in Aleppo, Syria as a surgical nurse trainee then as a Registered Surgical Nurse. It had been early 2013 when Behar first returned to Mosul to finally graduate and take more courses and at the same time joined Dr. Buni’s The RINJ Foundation working part-time at a women’s clinic opposite IBN Sina hospital and the Alshohada Bridge, Mosul, mostly working as a OBGYN with hospital privileges but also learning and practicing. She continued her studies after ISIS was driven from Mosul, to become a trauma surgeon. She received her MD certification in Yemen in 2019. She works in Iran, Palestine, Syria as a doctor or Nurse Practitioner depending on insurance fees and the need involved for a training supervisor for the RINJ Foundation unit, The Nurses Without Borders and has not returned to Mosul, Iraq for personal reasons.

It wasn’t until 2018 after taking an advanced course in English that Behar tackled the task of writing articles for Feminine Perspective Magazine. Her first love, however, is teaching nurses and other medical workers to care for women and child patients in war zones, and doing that work herself.

In her own words:

What is most important to me today is finding peace and safety for women, children and their families in Yemen and among Yemen’s allies in the Arab and Persian worlds.
