ASEAN has no real Western friends, only predators

“Starting and prolonging a war in Eastern Europe, against Russia, a North Asian friend of South Asia, has hurt ASEAN communities badly and in November, that trend is worsening. Millions of people suffer hunger. Millions more suffer food insecurity,” says Karinna Angeles of The RINJ Foundation in Manila. “Visiting several provinces, I can see devastation; skin and bones children who look like they should be immediately put on intravenous (IV) glucose therapy.”

Today’s apparent Western disregard for the well-being of Southeast Asian populations in the context of the shock South Asia has experienced in 2022, is a harbinger of what will come in future wars the West is now provoking in the South China Sea, against China from Taiwan, and on the Korean Penninsula from South Korea.

Video: War is not the answer. Easing migration policies in South Asia, particularly in Southeast Asia may give communities an opportunity to offset the impact of climate change and regional shortages of food and fresh water.

Australia, EU, UK, and America will again kill millions of Asians, as was the case in the 1950s, 1960s and the 1970s, then head for home this time leaving Australia (AUKUS) to deal with the aftermath of anger and death as the self-appointed tip of the spear projecting Western power into Asia.

“Australia’s strategic dilemma in the twenty-first century is simple: it can choose to be a bridge between the East and the West in the Asian Century – or the tip of the spear projecting Western power into Asia.” Citing: Kishore Mahbubant, Australia Foreign Affairs (October 2022)

What happens to China happens to ASEAN Nations

Australia’s categorically racist attitude toward the Indo-Pacific, particularly Southeast Asia, is exacerbated by its Anglophonic singing sessions with its Five Eyes (FVEY) co-conspirators trying to set itself up as the point of the West’s attack on Asia. Actions of the five anglophone nations clearly indicate they consider lives of Southeast Asians are expendable in the pursuit of ending China’s global economic dominance.

Also, the impact of the Anglosphere’s deliberately protracted war in Ukraine against Russia has been devastating for Southeast Asia’s pandemic recovery plan . ASEAN nations are barely coping with the pandemic recovery and now faces crippling food cost inflation and a scarcity of inexpensive fossil fuels, resorting instead to coal burning which sets back the climate-change mitigation plan.  The exponential rise in the cost of crucial commodities has been painful. The Philippines has bumped its fuel subsidy programmes as have Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam and their greater reliance on coal-fired electricity generation is one of the outcomes.

Green energy goals for ASEAN nations are on the back burner as countries go back to coal burning.

“High inflation, rising interest rates, falling currencies and volatile energy prices, together with an economic slowdown and post-pandemic budget woes, may increase pressure on the ASEAN+3—the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, together with China, Japan and South Korea—to scale back efforts to mitigate climate risk,” postulates in a 1 November 2022 article, Resetting Southeast Asia’s climate agenda in the ‘Australian Strategic Policy Institute Blog’.

A 60-100% price rise of crucial elements that Russia exports like nickel and palladium hits new-electric technology projects and goals and sets back the green-energy goals in Southeast Asia.

Ferdinand Marcos arrives in Cambodia for ASEAN

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Wednesday evening to attend the 40th and 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and Related Summits, his first participation in the summit as Philippine leader, according to the Philippine Information Agency which is the official public information arm of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines.

America, Britain, Australia and EU are predators to ASEAN needing these countries for their war against China’s economic rise to global Stardom

These predators disingenuously overstate the strategic threat of China, ASEAN‘s most important neighbour for trade, investment, infrastructure, global integration and good counsel.

The predators need ASEAN nation ports and military bases from where they stir up trouble with China and prepare for a war that impacts all of China’s neighbours, like for example China feeling the need over the years to construct man-made islands bristling with weapons across the South China sea.

The American-China rivalry has intensified significantly in Southeast Asia since 2016.

“Today, peace must be the goal, not competitions that seek the financial ruin of the other side, because this fight is threatening the lives of millions of women and children surrounding the South China Sea,” says women’s rights group leader.

“In recent years, President Xi Jinping’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind has been warmly received by the international community. It has been written into multiple important documents issued by the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other multilateral institutions. UN Secretary-General António Guterres hailed China as an important pillar for multilateralism, noting that the purpose for practicing multilateralism is to build a community with a shared future for mankind. Peter Thomson, president of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly, said the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind advocated by China is the only future for humanity on this planet.” Global Times: Jun 19, 2022 11:39 PM

China’s Economic growth was good for ASEAN Nations. The West’s harming China’s economy and destabilizing the region is now hurting all Asian neighbours.

The economic growth China has earned, brings benefits to the entire ASEAN region, and when the West tries to destroy that growth and throttle China’s trading ability with embargoes, sanctions and other hindrances, it hurts all ASEAN nations and breeds uncertainty and instability That diminishes attractiveness for ASEAN investment and economic expansion.

For decades, South Asia has been a panacea of cheap labour, rare metals, garbage dumping and a place to build stinking polluting factories that would not be allowed at home.

“I’m basically sitting at home and living off of my savings… Canada should appreciate foreign students more, not just use them as a form of cheap labour,” Daniel D’Souza, an accountant and former student at Seneca College near Toronto, told Bloomberg.

Now that America’s Freedom of Navigation exercises have totally destabilized the Asian Seas and the West’s massive interference in Taiwan and on the Korean peninsula has brought the Asian Seas region to the brink of war, Australia, Britain and America, despite their bribery of officials, face the potential of ostracization from ASEAN nations.

“An Australia that is unattuned to the concerns of its neighbors will be more likely to formulate foreign and defense policies that are inconsistent with promoting deeper relations with Southeast Asia — especially if strategic interests diverge.” Citing:  Abdul Rahman Yaacob in Australia, ASEAN drifting apart on China

Pandemic and Ukraine War sets a new Antipathy to the West which displayed callous disregard for the Indo-Pacific region, especially Southeast Asia.

Destabilizing Russia and China has not delivered a trickle effect on ASEAN nations, it has brought a tsunami.
