Joe Biden claimed ‘heroics’ on 3 February, in Atmeh, Syria but it was a criminal mass murder of kids and moms that violated human rights in a troubled region of the world. Biden misused the US Military for political purposes violating the sovereignty of Syria and the rights of the Idlib governorate for his own personal political gain. It became  another American mass murder of children.

America’s record for killing kids and moms just got worse, again for the pleasure of the US president who wanted to have a notch in his gun for killing an ISIS leader.

US President Biden, who has been tanking in the approval polls in the United States said at 10:21 A.M. Washington time on 3 February,  “Last night, operating on my orders, United States military forces successfully removed a major terrorist threat to the world: the global leader of ISIS, known as Hajji Abdullah.”

“U.S. Special Operations forces under the control of U.S. Central Command conducted a counter-terrorism mission this evening in northwest Syria,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said on the 3rd of February.

The operation had been pushed ahead to coincide with Joe Biden’s image-building campaign which has him on the road visiting American cities and promoting favourable stances on key issues.

Slaying children is unacceptable misconduct of US Armed Forces

The large number of American soldiers caused the deaths of thirteen civilians and injured many more. This attack by helicopters with jet fighter air support  should not have been in the distressed village of Atmeh that night.

Capturing al-Quraishi without causing the reasonably expected mass murder was the correct approach, but a politician in trouble in a mid-term election year overruled common sense and the military advisors who knew better. The mission was to capture the leader of ISIS but somehow that changed to, a mission to make the President look better.

“We made a choice to pursue a Special Forces raid, at a much greater risk than our — to our own people, rather than targeting him with an airstrike,” struggling US President  Biden said. “We made this choice to minimize civilian casualties.”

A better planned mission would have waited for an appropriate opportunity and captured al-Quraishi and interviewed him for years to follow for the names of would-be terrorists and their planned operations. Thus a real military operation could have prevented the deaths of civilians from terrorist attacks instead of becoming terrorists and killing more kids and their moms, again.

This was only a political mission, an abuse of the US Military for Joe Biden‘s Political Purposes

Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi (a.k.a. Hajji Abdullah) took the name in 2019 to imply Quraishi Hashemite heritage, a necessary attribute for an ISIS leader, which was not true. Quraishi was an ordinary man born in Mosul, Iraq according to Republic  Hospital records.

At 1:00am on 3 February, American helicopters disturbed the peace in Atmeh, Syria in the governorate of Idlib and with loudspeakers, warned the residents of a residence that not unlike many residences in the region was occupied by many families cramped into close quarters. By 3:00am all hell broke loose when the soldiers left their helicopters and attacked, according to one witness.

First responders report 13 deaths including 6 children and four moms. One child and several adults were injured.

Killing kids seems to be an American military pastime based on the record over the past five years.

Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets), an Idlib NGO of first responders, say that it was a woman who wore the explosive vest that wiped out the third floor of the building where al-Quraishi lived. The explosion took place as American soldiers stormed the building.

“For what it is worth, we are filing a complaint to the UN Human Rights Commission against Joseph Biden for his mass murder of children in Atmeh, said Ms. Katie Alsop of The RINJ Foundation, a global NGO fighting for the safety of women and children around the world.
