Pediatric Vaccine arrival relief to Canadian moms and kids. Women doctors demystify pediatric jabs.

“Moms are relieved that children can start getting vaccinated against COVID-19 immediately,” said Rose Catalano, a RINJ Foundation director and author of many books about life in a Canadian family.

Dr. Shazma Mithani, an Edmonton Physician whose five year old daughter has lived with COVID-19 for one third of her life, told the Toronto Star last week that, “We know this age group in particular was driving infections in the last wave in Alberta so I feel very strongly that getting vaccinated for the kids is important,” she said.

“This is getting us one step closer to finally being past this pandemic because until we vaccinate our children, it’s going to be really hard to not avoid another wave, especially as we move indoors.”

“Canada is Very Lucky to have a vaccine for little children,” says physician and medical director, Nassima al Amouri. “I want this for the whole world,” she added.

Vaccines for small children were invented by a lady doctor, Oezlem Tuereci, who recently perfected the (pediatric) dose for children.

“At the age of five, the children should have already experienced many inoculations, and by sharing with the children illustrations of other children receiving a small ‘needle’, their memories are adjusted and their fear of the unknown is all but eliminated when they know what to expect,” suggests Dr. Nassima al Amouri who is a regional supervisor of a global medical group providing services to moms, children and their families.

Visiting the doctor or nurse can be fun. “Visiting the doctor or nurse can be fun for younger brothers and sisters too,” says this little guy, a five year old.  “At the age of five the children should have already experienced many inoculations, and by sharing with the children illustrations of other children receiving a small ‘needle’, their memories are adjusted and their fear of the unknown is all but eliminated when they know what to expect,” says a favourite physician of thousands of children.  Photo Credit: Melissa Hemingway.
