Series: The case against Donald Trump.
The recent threats against American democracy explain why thus far America’s rank among global democracies dove from 94 to 83.
Autocracy is the ultimate cheat against public trust. Autocracy is a method of governing in which the exclusive power over a nation is held by a single person despite what has been promised in the form of democracy to the electorate. The autocratic leader makes decisions free from legal constraints and free from any pesky oversight, according to Cambridge Dictionary, Wikipedia and other encyclopedias. The world has many autocrats today, the most famous of all being Vladimir Putin.
Voter suppression has various cheating methods for limiting the ability of voters in certain categories, to cast a ballot. The ‘Voting Rights Alliance’ lists 61 methods of suppression.
Across the United States, Republican state lawmakers have voted to enact legislation that limits the ability of certain voters to cast their ballots.
The right to overturn elections is a cheat that provides the ability of a sitting State government to overturn US federal elections it does not like. Several states are trying to implement new legislation that allows for this now.

Mental Health Professors and Clinicians gave Donald Trump the same personality disorder diagnosis that Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini received. What is it Republicans blindly love about these people, or at least Trump? Does Trump enable their cheating and lies?
“Donald Trump is a malignant narcissist”, according to a large number of mental health professionals who have publicly made this declaration. Does that explain why Trump could not grasp the concept of his massive defeat in the November 2020 election? Does Donald Trump believe what he is saying about a stolen election? Can a malignant narcissist accept that the majority of people do not like him or her? It wouldn’t cross Trump’s mind, says his former lawyer, Michael Cohen.
Trump, says his personal lawyer of many years, Michael Cohen, “has been a narcissist and pathological liar for all his life”.
According to psychologist John Gartner, Trump clearly exhibits four key symptoms of malignant narcissism including paranoia, narcissism, antisocial personality disorder and sadism.
Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump claimed that Donald Trump studied Hitler’s speeches. Coincidently Hitler was often diagnosed as having the same range of personality flaws Gartner assigns to Trump, according to Gartner himself.
Cheating and lying his way to the top.
“Trump cheats at golf”, according to Rick Reilly, a well known sports writer.

“This type of leader pops up all throughout history, and they’re always extraordinarily disruptive,” Gartner told AFP, in the late summer of 2020.
Charisma and an extraordinary ability to “confuse and ‘gaslight'” people, is a campaigning asset Trump possesses.
Hence, America dives rank from 94 to 83 on the world democracy scale

Published on 11 February 2021, by Freedom House, a report entitled “From Crisis to Reform: A Call to Strengthen America’s Battered Democracy“, spells out several specific concerns.
- “An incumbent president attempted to overturn election results,
- “a violent mob assaulted the Capitol as Congress met to formalize his defeat, and,
- “lawmakers failed to hold the outgoing leader accountable for his reckless actions, leaving him in place as the de facto chief of his party.”
“The erosion of US democracy is remarkable, especially for a country that has long aspired to serve as a beacon of freedom for the world. A decade ago, the United States received a score of 94 out of 100 in Freedom in the World, Freedom House’s annual report on political rights and civil liberties. That put it in the company of other established democracies, such as France and Germany. Today, whereas those former peers remain at 90 or above, the United States has fallen to a score of 83, leaving it in a cohort with newer democracies like Romania, Croatia, and Panama. The prominence and global influence of the United States mean that its woes have a uniquely damaging effect on democracy in the rest of the world.” (See graph above from the Freedom House Study.)

“The assault on the US Capitol Building on 6 January 2021 was not the start of something but instead is a manifestation of a sick America,” says mental health professional.
“Raising some alarming but succinct criticisms, some 100 academics studying in the field of democratic process have issued a statement on 1 June 2021 warning of dire problems in the United States,” notes Monique Deslauriers who is a nurse practitioner in Calais, Maine who is also a therapist who treats women patients who have been traumatized by gender-based violence.
“While Trump used all the tactics including the big lie of Adolph Hitler to confuse the American electorate; plus Trump’s attack on the American democratic process, refusing to accept his loss in 2020, he was elected by an American public that had lost its faith in American democracy and Trump represented the first opportunity to turn America’s democracy into autocracy,” says Ms. Deslauriers.
America is switching from democracy to autocracy. And according to Michael Cohen, Trump told him, “Black people will never vote for me because they are too stupid”.
Has this led to the Trump sycophants in the Republican Party across the United States to suppress Black voters?
Democrats in the US Senate have clearly and succinctly claimed that all of the Republican controlled states in America have passed laws or have tried to pass laws that would suppress voters who typically vote for Democrat candidates. They say Black persons are among those categories.
“One of the paragraphs in the academic’s statement directly says that “free and fair elections” are not possible in some states,” notes Monique Deslauriers.
“We have watched with deep concern as Republican-led state legislatures across the country have in recent months proposed or implemented what we consider radical changes to core electoral procedures in response to unproven and intentionally destructive allegations of a stolen election. Collectively, these initiatives are transforming several states into political systems that no longer meet the minimum conditions for free and fair elections. Hence, our entire democracy is now at risk.”
Documentary: “Unfit: The Psychology of Donald Trump” explains why Trump is incapable of accepting defeat, or accepting that he was wrong. Wrong about anything.
Democratic government is a government in which the “supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections” according to the Merriam Webster Dictionary. Is this something America can still claim?
