“Each Canadian adult who is not vaccinated should conduct themselves as if they are living in an infectious disease laboratory,” says the team lead of the Civil Society Partners in Solidarity against COVID-19
“This comment is true and applies to the entire world, not just Canada. This Delta variant is a serious threat to the human race and Dr. Harris explains that well,” Dr. Nassima al Amouri, in Syria, suggested.
“I fear the Delta variant will infect a large part of the unvaccinated populations, and continue the evolution from the Alpha, to the Delta and then to a variant offspring of the Delta for which there is no vaccine and no immunity. It is close to that. The next variant or the one after will be a global killer if allowed to happen. That’s what viruses do. They do not produce many effective mutations, most are errors, but if a vaccine infects an enormous number of people, the tiny percentile of successful mutations will yield a significant progression of mutants that are increasingly contagious,” said doctor Nassima al Amouri in a Signal app call.
“The Delta variant has mutations in its spike protein, helping it bind to the ACE2 receptors present on the surface of human cells more firmly, making it more transmissible and capable of evading the body’s immunity,” said Dr. N K Arora, co-chair of India’s SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium, yesterday from India.
“Get vaccinated,” shouts doctor—the stock market too.
The SARS2 Delta variant is spreading so fast the stock markets are reacting and travel stocks are falling from the start of business Monday.
“Airlines American, United and Delta were all down Monday more than 3%. Cruise operators Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian each fell more than 4%. Energy stocks plummeted as well following a more than 3% drop in oil prices. Chevron and Exxon Mobil were down nearly 3%,” says Paul R. La Monica, CNN Business writer.

“In April, the World Health Organization formally acknowledged COVID-19 is predominantly spread via the air. “Aerosols remain suspended in the air or travel farther than 1 metre…,” the WHO reluctantly admits, having defended for a year its position that the virus does not aerosolize and that FFP respirators are not needed by the public, both being political falsehoods or a calculated lie, according to many scientists, and now the WHO,” explains Fred Harris, a biostatistician and infectious disease research scientist based in Singapore.
What got the boat rocking in Quebec, was Dr. Harris of the CSPAC partners telling Canadians on a radio show and in print that, “Each adult who is not vaccinated should conduct themselves as if they are living in an infectious disease laboratory.”
“A large percentage of Canadians do not want to wear masks and do not want to be vaccinated. They rely on information contained in Facebook, published by followers of Donald Trump in the United States,” explained Jessica Williams, a triage nurse in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
“I understand people looking at the Canadian COVID-19 statistics and thinking, ‘Wow, looking good’ but the continuing decline of cases in Canada is what Europe, especially Russia has seen before the cases started to skyrocket from the spread of the Delta variant,” said Williams from Montreal.

“In Australia, medical researchers have captured on video two people walking past each other, one sharing the infection with another. Australia has very good genomics research capabilities and the scientists were able to unequivocally identify the strain passed one from the other. As it turns out, both patients are still doing reasonably well but the message from that is just what Fred Harris is saying, this thing moves around in the air for long periods of time. The pre Alpha root virus was not that strong and needed a bigger load to infect a host, but the Alpha and subsequent Delta and Delta-plus are wickedly more effective with even a small few particles in taking over a human body,” nurse Williams explained.
“People cannot feel safe just because they had the two doses [of vaccine]. They still need to protect themselves,” WHO official Dr. Mariangela Simao told reporters in June, when asked about why the world Health Organization is urging people to wear masks, even if they have been vaccinated.
“Fleeting contact” is an accurate descriptor that underlines the airborne nature of the virus, says Prof Nancy Baxter, head of the University of Melbourne’s school of population and global health, when asked by The Guardian‘s Donna Lu in the context of the ‘fleeting contact video‘.
“There is only one message to tell the world about the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2,” says Dr. Nassima al Amouri. “Get vaccinated as soon as possible and under no circumstances allow this thing one more host.”
According to the US Centers for Disease Control, “Although how we understand transmission occurs has shifted, (inhalation of aerosolized virus) the ways to prevent infection with this virus have not. All prevention measures that CDC recommends remain effective…” Get vaccinated. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Stay home as much as possible. Avoid close contact with other people.
