6 January Capitol Violence has FBI energized, offering reward

Donald Trump’s fate walked ceremoniously to the Senate, Monday, in the form of a US Congressional Article of Impeachment.  A trial in the US Senate is currently set for 8 February. Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) will preside over Trump’s second impeachment trial, based on Leahy’s rank, according to Senate statements.

“The United States Constitution provides that the House of Representatives “shall have the sole Power of Impeachment” ( Article I, section 2 ) and that “the Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments…[but] no person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present” ( Article I, section 3 ). The president, vice president, and all civil officers of the United States are subject to impeachment.” (Citing The Senate’s Impeachment Role.)

Meanwhile the FBI has arrested 135 persons and identified more than 400 suspects, and continues to thank the American public which has submitted thousands of leads, and asks vigorously for the public’s continued assistance.

“What happened at the Capitol on January 6 has not occurred in over 200 years,” said FBI Assistant Director in Charge, Steven M. D’Antuono, yesterday.

“We owe it to the American people to find out how and why it did. We are committed to seeing this through—no matter how many people it takes, how many days it takes us, or the resources we’ll need to get it done. We will get to the bottom of this. The American people, and this country, deserve no less,” added the FBI lawman.

The second impeachment resolution sent to the Senate on Tuesday.

  • “prior to the joint session of Congress held on January 6, 2021, to count the votes of the electoral college, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the presidential election results were fraudulent and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by state or federal officials;
  • “shortly before the joint session commenced, President Trump reiterated false claims to a crowd near the White House and willfully made statements to the crowd that encouraged and foreseeably resulted in lawless action at the Capitol;
  • “members of the crowd, incited by President Trump, unlawfully breached and vandalized the Capitol and engaged in other violent, destructive, and seditious acts, including the killing of a law enforcement officer;
  • “President Trump’s conduct on January 6, 2021, followed his prior efforts to subvert and obstruct the certification of the presidential election, which included a threatening phone call to the Secretary of State of Georgia on January 2, 2021;
  • “President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government, threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of government; and
  • “by such conduct, President Trump warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold U.S. office.”

Multiple sources claim that Trump has been threatening Republican senators saying that if they vote to impeach him, he will mount challenges in their upcoming primary nomination proceedings and knock them off the slate, ‘ending their political career’.

No specifics have been offered by Trump allies.

Trump has earned infamy allegedly killing half a million Americans when he failed to manage the COVID-19 outbreak; killing five people in a riot on 6 January 2021 when he told thousands of his militia supporters to storm the Capitol Building and ‘fight hard’; and getting hundreds of little kids molested and even raped (according to the ACLU) when he ordered children to be confiscated from migrant mothers since 2017.

New 6 January video may offer clues to help possible witnesses assist the FBI

The Reiss Center on Law and Security at the New York University School of Law has published a video composite comprising a collection of public domain video shorts from social media and other sources. It’s a little more than ten minutes long and worth watching to understand what the fuss is about as news begins to spill out of the US Senate Trial.  Hundreds of insurrectionists have been charged or identified as persons of interest, suspects, or warrants, by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The FBI is particularly interested in nabbing the offenders in a complex array of pipe bomb discoveries found in various locations with timers and what appears to be a pre-planned series of ‘sinister events’ that went wrong or “became interrupted perhaps by law enforcement or unknown scheduling failures”, say sources close to the investigation but not authorized to speak on the case and hence wish anonymity.

‘FBI sources are not being restricted but instead encourage media and public awareness’, FPM.news was told. But “official public information on the case is being channeled through Assistant Director in Charge, Steven M. D’Antuono, in DC,” noted one such source.

“I want to stress that we have had—and continue to have—another enormously powerful partner in this case, and that is the American people,” said D’Antuono on Tuesday.

“As part of this investigation, we are also continuing to try to identify and arrest the person (or persons) responsible for placing pipe bombs outside the offices of the Democratic and Republican National Committees. Together with ATF, we are offering a $75,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of the perpetrator or perpetrators,” noted Assistant Director in Charge, Steven M. D’Antuono, yesterday.

According to a statement released by the FBI, “at approximately 1:00 p.m. EST on January 6, 2021, multiple law enforcement agencies received reports of a suspected pipe bomb with wires at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee (RNC) located at 310 First Street Southeast in Washington, D.C. At approximately 1:15 p.m. EST, a second suspected pipe bomb with similar descriptors was reported at the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) at 430 South Capitol Street Southeast #3 in Washington, D.C.”
