Canadian decision to list Proud Boys as a terrorism threat is applauded.

Planning and deliberating domestic terrorism is a crime of itself but doing such as a listed terrorist group can result in consecutive sentences (upon conviction in a court of jurisdiction) amounting to life in prison and the loss of all assets whether financial or physical.

  • Yesterday, Canada’s federal government, the author of the Canada Criminal Code, said it listed the Proud Boys and a dozen others as terrorist groups.
  • Last month, the RINJ Women declared the Proud Boys cult is a Public Enemy, particularly to All Women and Children all around the world”.

According to several sources among the RINJ Women’s security team, Proud Boy cult members have been spotted in Canada, the USA, Britain, Philippines and Germany.

In an email to members and on its website, the RINJ feminist movement that was founded in the 2000s as an anti-rape campaign opposed to “Mark Zuckerberg‘s Facebook Rape Pages” argued that “its members and ordinary citizens as well as corporation leaders and business managers” all had an opportunity to minimize the crimes of this hate group which they say represents a direct threat to women and children around the world.

In the lengthy list of actions the RINJ women’s rights organization seeks are denial to members of Proud Boys, “access to airports and airlines”; children’s play areas, school yards, and children’s sports events;  “entry into places where weapons, guns and ammunition are sold”; access to all Banks, PayPal, Stripe, and any fundraising institutes or crowd funding web sites like GoFundMe”;  and they ask that the cult be denied access to safety deposit boxes, bus terminals, public facilities like sports arenas, public swimming pools, and any place women and children may gather.

RINJ Women have slammed this group repeatedly since 2016 claiming it is a Hate group that targets Indigenous women, Asian women, Black Women in Canada “and in fact aspires to anarchy and violence against women and children around the world, especially those of non-white races, and non-Christian cultures.”

How does Canada and the United States cope with the fact that the patron of Proud Boys is a former US President and that it was a US President that led them to a plot against at least two Women Governors in the USA and the insurrection attack on 6 January 2021 against the US sitting Government?

They ignore that fact. Should they be allowed to do that?

“One of the most heart-breaking in-depth stories in recent times,” says Sharon Santiago who covered this man’s career. The Trump-led insurrection planned and executed by the Proud Boys caused the death of a distinguished soldier and police officer who served the Capitol Police from 2008 to 2021.  Encircling the fallen officer, Washington DC Police and the US Capitol Police pay respect to USCP Officer Brian Sicknick. 3 February 2021 live capture and art by Rosa Yamamoto.

Describing the Proud Boys

The Proud Boys cult is described variously as a danger to women and children, especially as RINJ says, a morbid threat to especially women and children “of non-white races, and non-Christian cultures”.

Cathy Williams reports that her sources describe the Proud Boys as a neo-fascist racist hate group first founded by a Canadian,  Gavin McInnes, who later denounced the direction the group had taken and then left the organization.

According to the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism, the Proud Boys cult believes men and Western culture are under siege, their views having elements of the white genocide conspiracy theory.

The RINJ Foundation claims the Proud Boys cult is “a hate group” which they say “aspires to general anarchy”  and that the Proud Boys “praise violence against women and children especially those of non-white races, and non-Christian cultures”, which seems to be a succinct sum of what most well-known civil society institutions have been describing.

Since the 6 January Trump-led Insurrection at the Capitol Building in Washington DC, the Canadian Government Describes the Proud Boys this way:

“The Proud Boys is a neo-fascist organization that engages in political violence and was formed in 2016. Members of the group espouse misogynistic, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, and/or white supremacist ideologies and associate with white supremacist groups. The Proud Boys consists of semi-autonomous chapters located in the United States (U.S.), Canada, and internationally. The group and its members have openly encouraged, planned, and conducted violent activities against those they perceive to be opposed to their ideology and political beliefs. The group regularly attends Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests as counter-protesters, often engaging in violence targeting BLM supporters. On January 6, 2021, the Proud Boys played a pivotal role in the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Leaders of the group planned their participation by setting out objectives, issuing instructions, and directing members during the insurrection. The leader of the Proud Boys was arrested two days before the insurrection as part of a stated effort by U.S. law enforcement to apprehend individuals who were planning to travel to the D.C. area with intentions to cause violence.”
