Comment: Lavrov Video, US Plans to have Ukraine as West bulwark on Russian border

Heightened tensions surround Russia as NATO and the United States  seek to control Ukraine as a puppet bulwark of American hegemony on the Russian border.

Sergeĭ Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was engaged today, speaking to the world, in an historic panel interview live on Russian Television (RT).

Minister Lavrov believes that the West has “lied to Russia regularly” regarding the threats to Russian security hence Russia is seeking legally binding agreements that America and NATO will stop building border missile systems targeting Russia, among other hostile actions Russia feels are threats to the Russian people’s security.

1.) Is it true that Russia has fueled separation among ethnic Russians in parts of the civil warring Ukraine? Vladimir Putin says he wants only to protect ethnic Russians there, but it is clear that Russia has supported the Russians in the Donbass region but not as much as the Americans have bolstered with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of military equipment to Kiev.

2) Is it true that France under President Charles de Gaulle on 24 July 1967, during an official visit to Canada encouraged Quebec to separate from Canada? “Vive le Québec libre!” he said.

3) Is it true that America has pushed NATO eastward in Europe despite undertakings not to do that? Obviously that is true. NATO has grown from 16 member states to 30 in recent years since the agreement not to expand NATO across Eastern Europe.

“In the separatist regions, the people are indeed ethnic Russians; Russian speaking citizens who hail back centuries as Russians, who by common law have the right to self-determination,” suggested Katie Alsop,  founding director of The RINJ Foundation who recently returned from a four-nation tour of the chapters of her organization in the Donbass regions.

America has fueled armed conflict in the Donbass region and others. So too has Russia. The American propaganda is the unquestioned content of American media and the public believes the lies.
